What is Toca Fusion?
Toca Fusion formed through the bringing together of two storied clubs to create a stronger, mission-driven soccer experience that prioritizes character development through competition, while prioritizing faith, family and fútbol.
We are coming together, because it was a great opportunity for both clubs. Combining our different strengths and resources allows us to deliver a more complete, top-class experience for kids and families. Merging now positions us to improve every level of the club and navigate the changing youth soccer landscape (change to grade-based age groups) with stability and confidence.
No. This is a partnership built on shared values. Neither club is absorbing the other—both are coming together as equals to increase impact. This is why both names are honored in the new brand.
No. Both clubs were non-profits and will be fully integrated into one newly named non-profit. Any revenues are reinvested back into the community. Our focus is serving families—supporting outreach initiatives, facility upkeep, better programming across levels, more financial aid support, and ongoing coaching education and development.
We chose to keep both names to show our commitment to the continuation of the mission, vision and values of both clubs. We added Athletic Club to reflect our goal to impact the culture of youth sports across Kansas City.
Specific costs by age group, gender, and level of team will be finalized and posted in early May.
With the changes in US youth soccer all teams are being reconfigured from calendar year to school year (learn more using the ‘Age Group Information’ button on the left). Coaching assignments will be released in early May.
In the spring ID and evaluation sessions, we will prioritize current families before opening to external players in May. Combined sessions will happen April 6-9. Open sessions to all players in the KC market will happen May 4-7. Formal tryouts will happen in late May, early June.
We will have access to multiple existing world-class facilities; more details will be communicated in advance regarding the plan for practice locations. Decisions on practice locations will be made based on team make-up and geographical preference.
